The LHE™ system works effectively and safely providing progressively *permanent hair removal on all skin types 1 to 6. Red, blonde or grey hair can also be treated although generally more treatments are required.  During a treatment session it is possible to remove hair from large areas such as back, arms, legs, with very little discomfort.  The upper lip can be treated in seconds, removing far more hairs in one session than is possible with electrolysis.

The treatment works by destroying the cells that produce a hair by introducing pulses of heat into the hair follicle.  The heat is absorbed by the hair, which causes the follicle to die and prevent other hair from re-growing.

The hair follicle goes through a continuous cycle of:

1. Anagen – active growing tage where the follicle is actively producing a hair, the pigment content within the follicle is at its optimum (this is the most responsive stage to any light base treatment)
2. Catagen – after a period of time the follicle goes into the transitional stage where the follicle  begins to shrink and the hair starts to move up the follicle (follicles treated at this stage will require further treatment but re-growth will be finer).
3. Telogen – the final phase is the dormant, resting stage where there are no active cells present to produce a hair, treatment on these follicle will not work.

It is because of the hair growth cycle that more than one treatment will be necessary in order to achieve long-term results.

The number of treatment sessions will vary, with approximately 8 treatments required for boy areas and 10-12 treatments for facial areas.

After treatment it is usual for the skin to be slightly red, this soon subsides within 10 minutes.

The treatment is also very quick enabling a lot of clients to be treated within their lunch hours.

毛髮生長過程如下﹕

1. 毛髮生長初期 – 毛髮生長最旺盛時期 (亦是對任何光療最有反應的時期)。
2. 毛髮轉變時期 – 毛囊收縮並把毛髮推往外面 (這些毛髮對療程反應比較弱﹐需要多次療程。但療程能使再生長出來的毛髮變細緻)。
3. 毛囊休眠期 – 毛囊休眠時沒有細胞製造毛髮。(療程對這些毛囊並沒有作用)。

因為每一個毛囊都在不同的生長期﹐所以需要多次療程才能把所有毛髮消除。
療程次數會因人而異﹐身體部份大約需要8次﹐而臉的部份則需要10到12次。

被治療後的部位會出現輕微的紅腫﹐但這些反應會在10分鐘後消失。
治療時間非常之短﹐所以很多客人都會在午飯時間內完成單次治療。
